This page explains what data HealthyEatsNearMe collects and how it is used.

If you subscribe to our email newsletter (for example, via the "Free Protein Guide" sign-up), we collect your email address so we can send you the guide and periodic newsletter emails; that email address is synced to Hostinger Reach, our email-marketing platform, which handles delivery, list management, and unsubscribes on our behalf. We do not require account creation to use the site.

Information collected automatically: We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Ahrefs Web Analytics to collect aggregated usage data including pages visited, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location (city/region level). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. We also use Google Search Console to monitor search performance data — this does not involve any personal user data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to contact form inquiries
  • To send you our email newsletter and content you request (such as the Free Protein Guide), if you have subscribed
  • To improve site content and user experience based on aggregated analytics
  • To monitor and maintain site performance and search visibility
  • To display relevant advertising through Google AdSense (see Advertising section)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you marketing and informational emails; every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Our site uses the following cookies:

  • Google Analytics cookies: Used to collect anonymized usage statistics (_ga, _gid, _ga_*). These persist for up to 2 years.

Some pages on this site contain links to meal kit services (including Factor and HelloFresh) and to food delivery platforms (including DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub). Where we hold an active affiliate relationship for a given link, we may earn a commission if you click it and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you; where we do not, the link simply goes to that service directly. Either way, these relationships do not influence our nutritional data or restaurant recommendations.

6. Data Retention & Third Parties

We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention policy (26 months by default). Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

We use the following third-party service providers, who process the data described above on our behalf: Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics (aggregated usage analytics), Google AdSense (advertising), and Hostinger Reach (email newsletter delivery and management). Each processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not share personally identifiable information with any other third parties except as required by law or as described in this policy.
